Drop-in day for hard of hearing

THE RNID is holding an information day in Liverpool for people to discuss their hearing health and find out about the latest issues affecting deaf and hard- of-hearing people.

The national charity, which represents nine million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK, has organised the event.

Jenny Harkison, RNID Regional Communications and Information Officer, said they will be answering visitors’ queries about deafness and providing information about how to protect your hearing and spot the signs of hearing loss.

She added: “We’ll also be explaining to people how they can cope with a hearing loss and demonstrating products which can make life easier, such as flashing doorbells and vibrating alarm clocks.”

The event takes place in the RNIB Resource Centre, 71 London Road, on Wednesday. People can drop in and out of the event any time between 10am and 1pm.

TO FIND out more about the event, please contact Jenny Harkison on 0161 276 2301, textphone: 0161 276 2302 or email: information.north@ rnid.org.uk.
