SPIDERMAN would normally be seen scaling high-rise buildings in Manhattan, but this weekend swung round to Merseyside to help out a good cause.
He was among around 100 people who took the plunge and abseiled off Leasowe Lighthouse in Wirral at the weekend to raise money for the Stroke Association.
Behind the superhero mask was volunteer Chris Wignall, who brought some extra colour to the charity abseil event. The Stroke Association helps those who have had a stroke, or have been affected by a stroke in any way. More than 250,000 people live with disabilities caused by strokes.
