Actors make a meal of it for Everyman production

DINERS at the Everyman Bistro got a little extra on the menu as they became the audience for a special performance.

As part of the Liverpool Irish Festival, two plays under the banner The Lost Field are being performed in the cafe bar as patrons enjoy a meal.

Both deal with families reunited in bizarre circumstances.

Racoon, by Tom Hall, introduces Saoirse, the waitress for the evening, who does not know who she is or where she comes from until an unusual chance meeting.

In Exit Wound, by Johnny Hanrahan, the audience eavesdrop on characters Hugh and Julian’s homecoming meal from hell, which takes place in and around the diners.

Irish theatre company Meridian brought the production to the bistro, where it began its run on Sunday and finishes tonight.
