A RAILWAY worker at Maghull train station was threatened with a knife by a robber who stole money from a booking office till.
Last night detectives from British Transport Police appealed for witnesses and information following the incident at 8pm on Friday, October 19.
They said the man entered the station’s booking office through an open door and threatened the victim with a knife.
He demanded and stole a quantity of cash before leaving on foot.
The victim was not physically injured but left very upset.
The offender is white, in his mid 30s, of stocky or slightly overweight build. He was clean shaven with a chubby face and Liverpool accent.
He was wearing a black woollen hat with his ears showing, black woollen gloves, a jacket zipped up to his neck, dark trousers, dark footwear and carried a plain black backpack.
