Comic tops bill at carol concert

LIVERPOOL legend Ken Dodd is to be the celebrity guest at Birkenhead School’s Gala Charity Carol Concert at the city’s Philharmonic Hall on Saturday, December 1.

Local actresses Patricia Routledge and Jean Boht have both appeared at these sell-out concerts in the past, which have raised more than £60,000 for local charities. Featuring a massed choir of 300 voices, the Liverpool Sinfonia and conductor Graham Jordan Ellis, the tickets are already said by organisers to be “flying out of the door”.
