Boyzone to play Liverpool date on their reunion tour

IRISH boy band Boyzone are to reform and play in Liverpool next summer during a major UK tour.

The band, fronted by Ronan Keating will play at the Liverpool Echo Arena on June 15 as part of a major UK tour.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 9am on Monday.

The band are limbering up for their tour with a TV appearance for BBC's Children In Need on Friday.

Ronan Keating said: "We've been talking about getting back together for some time now.

"The Children In Need rehearsals just made us want to tour together again.

"I can't wait to be back on the road. All the guys feel the same.

"Our live shows were always great fun, but this time it will definitely be the best night out ever."

Ronan and bandmates Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham, Stephen Gately and Keith Duffy are following in the footsteps of the Spice Girls and Take That by getting back together.

The band split seven years ago after clocking up six number ones in the UK and selling more than 15m albums worldwide.
