New police commander for Wirral

WIRRAL has got a new area commander for its police force.

Chief Superintendent Jon Ward has taken up the post after being Neighbourhood Superintendent for St Helens. Mr Ward is also football match commander at Anfield and Goodison.

He said: “My aim is to provide a policing service that listens when you call us and responds in a way that meets your needs and expectations.”

He added: “I will get out and about in the Wirral as much as I can – and if you see me, let me know how we are doing.”
