Looks like reindeer as community celebrates first Christmas together

YOUNGSTERS came face-to-face with Santa and his team of reindeer in a special event to celebrate a new community’s first Christmas.

Reindeer from Cairngorm Reindeer centre, in Scotland, arrived in a showery Norris Green on Saturday to meet residents of the new Ellergreen housing development.

Dozens of parents and their children met the six live reindeer who arrived for the Ellergreen Reindeer Parade.

Don Craven, regional managing director at developer New City Vision, said: “I’m really looking forward to celebrating our first Christmas with our new neighbours.

“This was an event for the whole community to come together.”

The building of Ellergreen has helped transform Norris Green’s former Boot Estate.
