THE BBC’s “Street Doctor” Dr Jonty visited Liverpool to launch a Merseyside public health campaign.

Choose Well aims to get people to choose the right NHS for their needs.

Liverpool Primary Care Trust said unwarranted 999 calls or visits to A&E, combined with the winter weather, put a huge strain on Merseyside’s NHS emergency services.

The number of admissions to Merseyside’s A&Es has risen by a third in the past two years.
