AINTREE hospital has appointed Christopher Baker as its new chairman.
The ex-civil servant will succeed John Dray who retires from Aintree University Hospitals Foundation Trust on January 1.Š
After leaving the Civil Service, Mr Baker moved into corporate finance, initially in London and then in the North West as corporate finance partner with Coopers & Lybrand before joining Littlewoods as Corporate Strategy Director.Š
Since 2000, he has worked as a freelance consultant and non-executive director.
In accepting the appointment, Mr Baker said: “I am proud to be joining the Trust as it moves ahead to realise the potential of being a Foundation Trust”.
