Stars come out for the Lord Mayor’s children’s Christmas party

Liverpool striker Peter Crouch and his partner Abbey Clancy joined Ricky Tomlinson for the Lord Mayor’s childrens’ Christmas party at the town hall. Around 200 needy children were treated to a Christmas dinner and presents, and entertained by clowns and panto characters in the main ballroom. Peter Crouch was also besieged by autograph hunters. The event was sponsored by Queenie’s Christmas charity, set up by celebrity hairdresser Herbert Howe in tribute to his late mother
