Man treated for stab wounds as police investigate city centre knifing

A MAN was last night being treated in hospital for stab wounds following an incident in Liverpool city centre.

Police cordoned off all of St John’s Gardens after the man was found on St John’s Lane with two stab wounds just before 6pm yesterday. He was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.

One man was arrested in con- nection with the incident, and was last night being questioned by Merseyside police.
