A CONVICTED murderer who is on the run from prison could be in Merseyside, police warned last night.
Raymond Alvin Kennedy, now 33, absconded from Sudbury prison, in Derbyshire, on Friday, September 21.
He was serving an indeterminate sentence for a murder in Liverpool, for which he has already served 16 years.
As he is originally from the North West, it’s thought possible he has returned here.
Last night Merseyside Police released a photograph of Kennedy in a bid to trace him but warned members of the public that he is dangerous, and must not be approached.
Kennedy is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, with a slim build. He has short brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. A police spokesperson said: “Kennedy is a diabetic and, as he may not have access to insulin, there is concern for his welfare.
“If anyone should see him or knows of his whereabouts, he should not be approached. Instead, please contact police immediately.”
ANYONE with information about where Raymond Kennedy may be is urged to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4064.
