A VULNERABLE man has gone missing in the Warrington area, causing concern for his safety.

Police are appealing for residents in the town to look for Roy Whittaker, 60, who was last seen at his home on Marina Drive at 3am yesterday morning.

Mr Whittaker has a medical condition which may make him vulnerable when out alone and police are urging people to check any outbuildings that he may have taken shelter in.

He is white, overweight, 5ft 7ins- 8ins tall with dark greying hair.

He could be wearing a black coat, light grey trousers and brown shoes.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Mr Whittaker should call Warrington police on 0845 4580000.
