Gang rips open cards for cash

THREE men climbed through the window of an elderly woman’s Warrington home and made her sit in a chair while they searched her house.

The men even ripped open Christmas cards and stole cash.

The victim, in her 70s, was at her home in the Lower Stretton area of Warrington at around 8pm on Sunday, December 23.

Instead of opening the door, the woman opened a side window to see who was there and the men pushed her inside and climbed through.

The men, all aged in their 20s, spoke with local accents and wore dark coats.
