CHESHIRE Police have said they are becoming concerned for the welfare of a man who disappeared early on Thursday.

Roy Charles Whittaker, 60, was reported missing at 3am after last being seen at Marina Drive in Orford, Warrington.

A spokeswoman for the police said he suffers from a medical condition which makes him vulnerable.

The force is now asking people in the area to check garden sheds and out-houses in case he has collapsed and need assistance.

He is 5ft 7-8ins tall and overweight, and is thought to be wearing a black coat, grey trousers and brown shoes.
