A 27-YEAR-OLD woman died after the car she was travelling in smashed into a tree in Warrington.
The crash happened on Monday and police were called to the scene at Sankey Way at 9.49pm.
The Subaru Impreza car had left the road and hit the tree.
The 26-year-old driver, who was also injured, was later arrested by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
