Hit-run suspect bailed

A MAN arrested after an elderly man was killed in a suspected hit and run has been bailed by police until March.

The 34-year-old was arrested after the incident in Fluin Lane, Frodsham on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5.20pm and found a man with serious injuries.

He was taken to Warrington General Hospital but later died.

It is believed he had been struck by a vehicle which then left the scene.
