A MERSEYSIDE man is facing a life sentence after admitting knifing a family man to death.

Father-of-one Thomas Harrison, 29, was stabbed three times outside St John’s social club in Huyton.

Kevin Corke, 31, pleaded guilty to murder at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday.

His accomplice and half-brother Carl Taylor, 20, admitted manslaughter.

The two men are brothers of Paul Taylor who was jailed for life for the racist murder of Anthony Walker. They are also cousins of Michael Barton, also convicted of murdering the promising Huyton student in 2005.

Mr Harrison was stabbed three times by Corke, once fatally through the heart.

His killers went on the run, but after 10 days, walked into a Staffordshire police station.

Their accomplice, Michael Farrell, admitted stealing a VW Touran 36 hours earlier.

The gang used it to drive to Edinburgh Drive where they confronted Mr Harrison.

Farrell also admitted perverting the course of justice by setting fire to the car to destroy potential evidence.

The three men will be sentenced next month.
