Man beaten up

A 62-year-old man from Wirral suffered serious facial injuries after a group of men beat him up and robbed him.

Merseyside Police are now appealing for information following the attack in Birkenhead on Saturday, December 29.

It happened at around 11.40pm, outside Flambards on New Hey Road.

The man suffered serious facial injuries as a result of the assault.

Sgt Mark Tivendale said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information about this assault which took place before New Years Eve to make contact with Police Station on 0151 777 2264.”
