Youth shot in the leg

A TEENAGER was shot in the leg as he walked past a park in Liverpool.

The 18-year-old was walking past Stanley Park, Anfield, towards Anfield Road when a shotgun was fired, wounding the boy’s right leg, at about 2.50am on Sunday.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A silver car, possibly a Volkswagen, was seen in the area at the time, a police spokesman said.
