Local roots for tasty food

AN EVENING dedicated to food will be held in West Kirby, in Wirral, this week.

The meeting will be looking at the benefits of locally grown seasonal food, for the community, the environment and taste buds.

There will also be discussion about why food prices are rising and how Transition Towns are leading the way in promoting local food provision.

Speakers include La Paz Restaurant (Wirral Chef of the Year 2007) and Ken Dowden on ways to grow your own.
