RAIDERS pulled down part of a wall at Liverpool Parkway South to gain access to a cashpoint early yesterday.
Only grainy CCTV footage remains of the destructive break-in carried out by a gang of between two and three men at Merseyrail’s flagship station.
British Transport Police report the group gained access to the rear of a HSBC cash machine which faces the concourse.
However, they fled when alarms sounded and before police could reach the scene.
Merseyside Police were informed.
