Three held after drugs raids

THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of possession to supply drugs following two police raids at houses in Wirral.

Officers seized large quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis from two addresses on Virginia Road in New Brighton.

The raids took place at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, January 22, and three men aged 24, 25 and 31 years were arrested for possession with intent to supply.

Neighbourhood Inspector Julie Fletcher said: “I want to thank those members of the community who provided information, which resulted in these raids taking place.

“Merseyside Police is determined in its war on drugs and we will continue to take positive action against anyone involved in dealing or associated criminal activities.”
