Mums-to-be in Wirral get best possibly care – report

GEMMA BURNS, 34, gave birth to her twins, Amelie and Evie on December 13 at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

The girls were 13 weeks early, but thanks to the care they have received at the hospital they are doing very well.

Mrs Burns, who is a nurse at Aintree Hospital, said: “It was really frightening for me and my husband but all the staff has made it as easy as it could have been, they are amazing.

“My daughters would not be here now if it was not for them.

“The hospital is so clean and the level of care so high, I cannot praise the hospital enough.”

The twins, who are the couple’s first children, are still being looked after at the hospital, because of their premature arrival into the world.

At the moment Mrs Burns and her husband Mike travel to the hospital every day from their home in Waterloo so that they can see their babies, who are now six weeks old.

She added: “Everybody is so friendly, I owe this place my life and the lives of my babies.”
