Bishop to sit on school governing board

THE Bishop of Birkenhead has joined a local school’s governing body just as it was identified as being in the top 7% in the country for students’ GCSEs. Rt Rev Keith Sinclair said he was “honoured” to join Park High School.

It follows the recent annual analysis of 2007 GCSE results, which showed improvement across the whole Year 11, with two pupils achieving results in the top five nationally. Bishop Sinclair said: “I was honoured to be asked. I have been most impressed by my visits to the school.”
