AROUND 150 guests attended a celebration to mark the first birthday of Liverpool’s upmarket Malmaison hotel last night.
Leading figures from the city’s business community and arts world were invited to the event at Princes Dock.
Business development manager Adam Bell said: “This has been a great year for us and now, with the opening of the Echo Arena Liverpool and BT Convention Centre, next year should be even better.
“We are pleased with the way the hotel has settled into the city. Once people have visited and seen it for themselves, they fall in love with it.
“It was important that we marked the occasion of our first anniversary.”
The £14m hotel opened its doors to the public last January with a glitzy launch attended by Radio One DJ Chris Moyles, former 100 metre champion Linford Christie, and Match of the Day pundit Alan Hansen among others.
