Pervert targets girl from behind bars

A FATHER whose teenage daughter was groomed by a paedophile who then targeted the youngster from behind bars has slammed a judge’s sentence.

Dean Barnes was jailed for three years in November 2006 after admitting a string of sex offences against two young sisters.

But within weeks of being locked up the 46-year-old was sending threatening “love letters” to the oldest girl.

Yesterday Barnes was back before Liverpool Crown Court after admitting five breaches of a sexual offenders prevention order and asking for five more to be taken into consideration.

He was jailed for a further 11 months.

But yesterday the girls’ dad, a 38-year-oldcondemned the sentence.
