Merseyrail station revamps due on time

TWO popular commuter stations undergoing revamps are on schedule to be finished later this year.

Work on Bootle Oriel Road started last Feb-ruary and is due to be complete by mid-April.

Once the £4.25m project – funded by Merseytravel – is com-plete, a new ticket office and booking hall, footbridge and new lifts to the platforms will have been installed.

Sandhills closed in November for a £6m upgrade and is also on track to reopen on schedule in mid March.
