THEY will be deadly rivals on the pitch tonight but that didn’t stop Inter Milan’s players enjoying a little bit of hospitality from Jamie Carragher yesterday.
The Italian club’s five Argentinean players popped into Cafe Sports England, on Stanley Street, co-owned by the Liverpool FC star, during a walk around the city ahead of their crucial Champions League game at Anfield tonight.
Stars including Javier Zanetti, Esteban Camb- iasso and Hernan Crespo stopped off at the restaur- ant with their families, buying up merchandise for their children and chatting and signing autographs for customers.
Paul Flanagan, from the Flanagan Group, which co-owns the business with Carragher, said: “The Inter lads are staying up at the Radisson Hotel and I think someone there recommended Sports Cafe England to them.
“Their families joined them later.
“We gave them a warm welcome and hopefully it will be even hotter at Anfield tonight.”
