TIME is running out for companies wanting to enter this year’s Daily Post Regional Property Awards.
The last entry will be accepted on Friday this week for the most prestigious industry awards in Merseyside.
Judging the competition this year is a panel that boasts considerable experience and knowledge across the industry. They will be sorting between high-quality nominations from many of the developers that are helping shape Merseyside, where colossal regeneration continues to move on apace.
The five-strong judging board consists of Dominic Wilkinson, Andrew Thomas, Hugh McDonald, Beatrice Fraenkel and Sara Wilde.
Each one possesses a varied array of skills and experience and have worked together as a judging panel on previous awards.
Dominic Wilkinson, is regional director and former chairman of Royal Institute of British Architects, in the North West.
An architect and urban designer, Dominic has taught at the Manchester and Liverpool university schools of architecture and is currently a consultant with SHEDKM and Austin-Smith:Lord architects in Liverpool.
Dominic has made his home in Liverpool after coming here to study architecture at university, starting his career at Liverpool City Council’s architects department.
A committed city-dweller he has an interest in urban design and regeneration having been involved in projects such as the Matchworks in Speke and masterplans for Liverpool John Moores University.
Andrew Thomas is the operations manager at Centre for Construction Innovation (CCI), North West. He was awarded a Best Practice Promoter award in 2000 by the Construction Best Practice Program (CBPP) for the work and commitment in supporting the delivery of the CBPP and directs the activity of CCI and its team. CCI works closely with industry and clients in the construction and adoption of rethinking construction principles into process and culture. Andrew has served on the national board of constructing excellence since 2004.
Hugh McDonald is the director of property finance and corporate banking for the Royal Bank of Scotland.
He is responsible for corporate client care and deal flow across Merseyside and has many years of experience in property finance.
As Liverpool’s urban design champion Beat-rice Fraenkel she has the role of promoting the qual-ity of design in the city.
She in employed by Liverpool City Council and is former chairwoman of the Ropewalks Partner-ship which has delivered city regeneration together with the private sector.
A qualified industrial design engineer and erg-onomist, she is chair of RenewNorthwest and sits on other boards concerned with regeneration.
Sara Wilde, regional managing director, Trinity Mirror North West and North Wales, is Liverpool born and bred.
She chairs the Mersey Waterfront Regional Park which has been transforming the city’s world-famous front.
Sara is also on the board of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and of Liverpool Vision, a group helping design Liverpool city centre.
The judges will be studying the nominations once the deadline closes this Friday.
