A YOUNG mother started a brawl in a city centre pub after seeing a woman she had previously attacked.
Macayla Cheshire launched a violent attack on acquaintance Tracey Bradley in the Penny Farthing pub on Rowe Street in December 2006.
The mother-of-one was jailed for 56 days for the attack in November last year.
But Liverpool Crown Court yesterday heard that just months after the assault – and before serving her jail sentence – she started a drunken brawl after seeing Ms Bradley in the same pub.
Geoffrey Fryar told the court Cheshire had started shouting drunken abuse, even turning on Ms Bradley’s companion James Murphy when he began to defend her, saying she would “kick his head in”.
As the situation worsened, Cheshire’s drinking partner Michael Cunningham also became involved – punching Mr Murphy and throwing a chair at him.
Mr Fryar said: “This started a mass brawl breaking out.”
Cheshire, 25, of Snowberry Road, Huyton, then began throwing glasses across the busy bar, hitting one innocent bystander and smashing another glass over a man’s head.
Cheshire, who was the subject of a community order for attacking a police officer at the time of both incidents, admitted affray on July 10, 2007.
But yesterday Recorder Fraser QC suspended a six month prison sentence for two years. He made a supervision requirement for 12 months, placed her on curfew for two months and ordered her to attend a substance-related offending programme.
He said: “This was a violent incident which must have been terrifying for those inside the bar and Macayla Cheshire you took things further throwing glasses.”
Cunningham, 30, of St James Drive, Bootle, who also admitted affray, was given a community order and ordered to do 80 hours’ unpaid work.
