TWO BBC radio celebrities kicked off a tour of the nation’s top football stadia for Sports Relief at Goodison Park and Anfield yesterday.
Birkenhead-born Everton fan David Lloyd Vitty, or Comedy Dave as he is known to Chris Moyles listeners, was more than happy to start off at Goodison.
But the second stop of the day was Anfield and both he and dyed-in-the-wool Manchester United fan Mark “Chappers” Chapman were worried about their trip to Liverpool FC.
A note pinned to their Radio One car while they completed their mile long run in Goodison reading “Good luck you Manc t---” did little to allay either runners’ apprehensions.
But both men had plenty of motivation behind their fundraising bid which will see them run one mile at 32 football clubs in eight days.
Chapman said: “Two years ago, Sport Relief changed my views on life in general by taking me to India.
“I have never seen such depravation in my life – no one on earth should have to live like this.”
