Hamlet goes Fab

A BEATLES-INFLUENCED production of Hamlet is one of ten plays being presented during The Shakespeare Youth Festival in Liverpool.

The Blue Coat School’s production takes place at LIPA with nine other plays from March 15-20.

The UK-wide festival sees young people from Inverness to Exeter form their own theatre companies to produce 40-minute abridged adaptations of the Bard’s work. Ten Liverpool and Isle of Man schools will take part in the showcase.

The festival is one of three Shakespeare-themed events for young people taking place during 2008.
