A 25-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a cyclist.

Rachel Jones, 26, was killed following an argument in the Anfield area of Liverpool on Friday night.

She was allegedly pursued down Woodville Terrace after the row on nearby Whitefield Road at around 8.30pm.

Four women were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday.

Louise Gardner, 26, of Mallow Road, Anfield, later appeared before magistrates in Liverpool. Gardner spoke only to confirm her name and address.

There was no application for bail and she will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on April 2.

The other three women aged 49, 25 and 19, have been bailed pending further inquiries.
