National Museums Liverpool welcomes two millionth visitor

Ethan is a very special visitor

NATIONAL Museums Liverpool has welcomed its two millionth visitor of the past 12 months through the doors of the Walker Art Gallery.

The NML is celebrating “bumper figures” of people visiting its seven institutions including the World Museum Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum and Lady Lever art gallery.

Yesterday five-year-old Ethan Wall from Hale became the two millionth person through the doors of the NML museums and galleries on a trip to the Walker, and was given a goodie bag and met artist in residence Ben Johnson, currently completing his Liverpool Cityscape.

Since April 2007 crowds have been flocking to the city venues, with around 1m people visiting the Walker and World Museum alone.
