Vauxhall and Ford cars targeted by thieves

OWNERS of certain Vauxhall and Ford cars are being warned by police in Wirral their vehicles are being targeted by thieves.

According to officers “a number of cars” have been stolen or broken into in the Birkenhead Park, Claughton, Liscard and Egremont areas recently.

They say old-style Vauxhall Corsas, Vauxhall Astras and Ford Focus models are affected.

Police are advising people to ensure their vehicle is locked at all times and to keep all valuables out of sight.
