CONTROVERSIAL plans to give a new boutique hotel a 24-hour drinks licence have been delayed while councillors inspect the area.
Residents in Port Sunlight had objected to the Leverhulme Hotel in Port Sun-light owners’ application to Wirral licensing department.
Craig and Lisa Baker, owners of Hillbark Hotel are behind the scheme to trans-form the building, but an application for a 24-hour licence to sell alcohol and live entertainment prompted local conservat- ionists to lodge an objection.
The licensing committee will visit the site on Friday when it is expected they will make a decision.
