TV plea over missing man

POLICE have made a TV appeal to find a Liverpool student who vanished on holiday nearly three years ago.

Steve Cook was 20 when he vanished while holidaying with school friends in the Greek resort of Malia, Crete.

The Liverpool university student, originally from Sandbach, vanished within hours of heading out for his first evening in the holiday town.

Mr Cook was last seen in a bar asking for directions to his hotel, but walked off in the wrong direction.

Cheshire police yesterday made an appeal on the BBC1 programme, Missing Live, in the hope of unearthing information about his whereabouts.
