ROYDEN Park Coach House, in west Wirral, is to be the venue for a series of craft fairs presented by people who use Wirral’s community day services.
The project, Wirral Creations, is due to be officially launched by the Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Adrian Jones, later today.
Events continue throughout 2008, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 10am to 2pm.
There will be a wide range of specialist arts and crafts stalls, all featuring handcrafted items, including unique woodwork and distinctive ceramics.
In addition to the goods on sale, there is a clear therapeutic benefit for those employed in producing the goods.
People with a range of disabilities are able to work together and are offered employment opportunities, such as staffing the stalls and buying and pricing of goods.
Wirral Creations will also be holding a number of additional craft sales. For more information, contact Union Street Resource Centre on 0151 639 1761.
