Helipad planned

PERMISSION is being sought for a helipad to be built to receive accident and emergency patients at Southport & Formby District General Hospital.
Currently, the nearest available landing area is on the playing fields by KGV College on Scarisbrick New Road.
A site opposite the A&E department has been identified as ideal.
