Chester Zoo is a hit online

CHESTER Zoo has been revealed by search engine Ask.com to be Britain’s most search- ed-for attraction.

The UK’s number one charity zoo is home to over 7,000 animals Šand 500 different species, including some of the most endangered species on the planet.

Nine of the most searched for Bank Holiday family days out in the UK on Ask.com were zoos.

Chester took the top spot, beating London Zoo, who came second.

Sharon Leeson, the zoo’s Head of Marketing and Development, said: “With people wanting information at the click of a button, we felt it important to update our website.

“Many more visitors are choosing to book online and this shows the influence the internet can have on the decisions people and their families make these days.”

The zoo’s new website has been proving popular, with weekly page views running at over 150,000.
