A BUSY Liverpool pub had to close after two men were stabbed following “an altercation” in Anfield last night.
Drinkers in the Cabbage Hall pub in Breck Road close to Liverpool’s ground had to leave after the incident at around 9.30pm.
Police and an ambulance were called following reports that the two men had suffered what detectives termed “non life threatening” stab wounds.
It is not known if the victims had been in the pub earlier, but police said they believed the pair had both been drinking.
Both men, thought to be in their 20s, were taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
A police spokesman urged any witnesses to come forward.
