Boys robbed of phones

TWO boys were robbed on a popular walking route overlooking the Dee Estuary on Wirral.

The two friends, aged 13 and 14, from Heswall were riding their bikes along the Wirral Way close to the area known locally as “The Dungeon”.

They were confronted by two older men also on bicycles who demanded their mobile phones and one of the boy’s bikes.

Anyone who saw the incident at about 1pm on Sunday, May 11, or has been offered the stolen bike – a Black Mongoose Tyax Super Rock Shock – should call Upton CID via 0151 709 6010 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
