Dying reporter’s bone marrow donation plea to readers

Adrian Sudbury meets Prime Minister Gordon Brown in the House of Commons

A FORMER Liverpool student who has been given weeks to live is asking readers of the Liverpool Daily Post to help his campaign to increase bone marrow donations.

Huddersfield Examiner journalist Adrian Sudbury has leukaemia and is calling on the Government to ensure all sixth form and college students are given at least one talk a year about the importance of bone marrow donation, what it involves and how they can sign up.

Last week Adrian met with Prime Minister Gordon Brown and as a result there is now an on-line petition to support his campaign on the Downing Street website.

By visiting the webiste http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/bone-marrow you can support the campaign.

The last date you can sign up is July 23.
