Four ecstasy tablets
A MAN has admitted his involvement in a plot to produce a million Ecstasy tablets.
Police stumbled on the huge drugs haul after being called to a suspected burglary.
When officers entered the house on Olive Lane, Wavertree, they discovered two black bin bags full of Ecstasy tablets.
The pills, recovered in what was described as a “once in a career” bust, were valued at £5m if sold on the streets.
Yesterday James Williams, 35, of no fixed address, admitted his role in the operation at Liverpool Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to permitting the premises to be used for the production of Class A drugs.
Judge Bryn Holloway yesterday adjourned sentencing until July 3 for reports to be prepared.
The court heard Williams had accepted he was facing a lengthy custodial sentence.
