Knockout amount raised for hospice

A WIRRAL pub has raised £3,700 for a local children’s hospice in an “It’s a Knockout” style tournament.

The team from the Three Stags, on Church Road, in Bebington, raised the money for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Manager of the Three Stags, David Wilkinson and his team have been raising money for the charity since January, by holding regular quiz nights and raffles.

Two teams from the Three Stags took part in the “It’s a Knockout” event alongside 20 teams from around the Wirral which involved competing in fun games and team building exercises.

Mr Wilkinson said: “Claire House Children’s Hospice is our nominated charity for the year, as it is a really important local cause and it is close to the hearts of both our guests and team members.

“I would like to thank everybody who sponsored our teams and helped us to raise this phenomenal amount of money.”

Claire House Children’s Hospice is a centre of excellence providing 24-hour respite, palliative and terminal care for children and young people up to 23 years of age with a life threatening or life limiting illness, and their families.
