Ashes left at Liverpool theatre

A SMALL box thought to contain someone’s ashes has been found at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre.

The black box was left behind in the auditorium after a performance by medium Derek Acorah, former star of TV's Most Haunted.

A cleaning lady discovered the box which has the name of funeral director "Peter Coyne" printed on it.

Staff believe its owner may not realise it is still at the theatre with the lost property.

Jenny Morgan, from the Empire, said: "We assume someone brought them along to see if Derek could get some readings from them.

"But I’m not sure how anyone could forget them. "Of all the lost property our staff has come across, this is definitely one of the most unusual."
