Sister appeals for help to raise funds for her terminally ill brother

A LIVERPOOL woman is appealing for local businesses to help raise funds for her terminally ill brother.

Neville Carrison, 48, was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year. After undergoing surgery and intensive radiotherapy at Clatterbridge Hospital he was told the tumour had shrunk, but it has since grown back.

The tumour is inoperable due to its location in the brain leaving the only other treatment option of chemotherapy in tablet form, without which, he would only survive two months.

Margi Hay, from Lunt, said: “We were devastated when the doctors told us they could not operate but the important thing is to make the time left as special as we can.

“We would love to fulfil his dream and send him on holiday to Las Vegas but because of his condition it’s impossible to secure travel insurance so we’ll have to settle for somewhere closer to home.”

Sister-in-law Nicky Lewis has organised a charity event at the Railway Club, in Aintree, on Friday, July 25, to raise money and is appealing for donations of prizes to be raffled.

If you can help by donating a prize call Nicky on 07765 222385.
