Debbie’s guide to life in Spain

Debbie’s guide to life in Spain

A FORMER Liverpool landlady who moved to Spain has written a guide to living and working in the country.

Debbie Murray moved to Almeria in Spain in 2002 with her husband Richard and daughter Chloe and set up a property business. Before that she ran Ned Kelly’s bar in Liverpool city centre.

Her new book, Live the Dream with a Plaice in the Sun, tells of her experiences finding work, a home, and schooling abroad and tips for ex-pats on tackling Spanish bureaucracy.

She has self-published the book with Trafford Publishing and the company is helping to promote the book on websites such as Amazon and stocking the book in the Liverpool branch of Waterstones.

Mrs Murray said: “I think anyone can write a book and this is just full of true stories and Liverpool humour.”

“Many clients helped make my book come to life with real people and real life situations.

She recently returned to Liverpool to set up a stall at St John’s Market to spread the word about the book, to which she has already nearly finished a follow-up.
